Privacy Policy

thefrnd exists to be a quiet, private space for the soul. Your journals, chats, and reflections belong to you. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Your account email (for sign-in).
• Preferences you choose: traditions, intention, tone, voice.
• Content you create: journal entries, chats with your companion, completions.
• Minimal usage telemetry to keep the service healthy.

What we never do

• We never sell your data. Not now, not ever.
• We never train public AI models on your private journals.
• We never share your content with third parties for advertising.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (Supabase / Lovable Cloud) and encrypted at rest. Voice conversations stream directly between your device and our voice service — they are not stored unless you ask your companion to save them as a journal entry.

Your rights

You can export every byte of your data, delete categories of data, or delete your account entirely at any time from Profile → Privacy & data. Deletion is permanent.
