Data deletion

You can delete your thefrnd data at any time. We honour deletion requests in full — nothing is retained for "shadow profiling" or analytics.

From inside the app

1. Sign in and open Profile → Privacy & data.
2. Choose what to delete: journals, chats, completions, or your whole account.
3. For account deletion, type DELETE to confirm.

By email

If you can't access your account, email hi@thefrnd.com from the address on your account. We'll verify and complete the deletion within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Profile and preferences.
• Every journal entry, chat thread, and message.
• Content completions and streak history.
• Voice conversation transcripts (if any were saved).

Anonymised aggregate metrics (e.g. "active users today") may persist — they cannot be traced back to you.
